Whitton Ward, B.S. Early Childhood Development

Whitton has been employed at Mitchell’s Place since its opening in August 2005. Ms.Ward, a native of Birmingham, AL, graduated from The University of Alabama in 2003, where she received a B.S in Early Childhood Development. She is working on her masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Ms. Ward has worked in the classroom at Mitchell’s Place as an assistant and lead teacher, and also in Mitchell’s Place Teach-Me program working one-on-one with children. Ms. Ward has more than two years experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) working in a home program where she was trained and supervised by Michelle Sherman, M.S.S.W, who serves as Director of Clinical Services with the Wisconsin Early Autism Project (WEAP). Ms. Ward is currently the Supervising Teacher in the Songbird Classroom.
