Speech & Language Therapist: Jan Hobbs, M.S., CCC-SLP
Jan Hobbs has worked at Mitchell’s Place since its opening in 2005, providing speech and language therapy and evaluation services to children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disorders. She received both her bachelor and master’s degrees in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Montevallo. She provides speech therapy services to students enrolled in the Early Learning Program, as well as outpatient clients. In 2009, she collaborated with Dr. Linda Murdock on two research studies on treatment approaches for children with Autism, which were published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders and Focus on Autism.
